The Certified FiberMax® Quality Summit 2005
brings together the world's leading experts on
cotton and cotton quality to discuss topics of
utmost significance to global cotton spinners.
FiberMax® is organizing this summit for the
second time in Singapore in successive years.
The attendees at the Summit will gain critical
insight into U.S. cotton quality developments,
world supply-demand forecast and the outlook for
textile trade in the post 2005 world. This is
expected to be the year's most important global
cotton event.
The Certified FiberMax® Cotton Program is
sponsoring the Summit. FiberMax® is the brand
name for cotton varieties marketed by Bayer
CropScience.

features of FiberMax® cotton lint are:
FiberMax® cottonseed is derived from elite
germplasm developed by BCSI. The breeding and
development of FiberMax was formed as a joint
venture between Bayer CropScience and Australian
based Cotton Seed International.
FiberMax® lint has similar spinning
characteristics as the Australian variety.
FiberMax® lint is known for its improved staple
length, strength, micronaire and uniformity as
compared to the typical upland lint.

Some
changes and improvements have been made in the
sessions this year. FiberMax® has organized
larger room with comfortable classroom seating
for plenty of note taking during the sessions.
It has been decided that, no individual meeting
would be scheduled during the general sessions
or meal functions. Some free afternoons have
been made available for this purpose.
